Agent Andrew Mahan, Washington D.C.

Background
Andy Mahan graduated in the late 1980s with a degree in geology and promptly discovered that jobs in the field were rare.

He first went to work for the National Forest Service -- he had been an avid outdoorsman since his youth -- but found the work boring. On a dare he applied to PRIMUS, and though he soon forgot about it, six months later two agents appeared at his doorstep with interesting news: Mahan was tolerant to Cyberline.

He joined PRIMUS in 1992, the same year he married his longtime girlfriend. After the academy he and his wife moved to Seattle, where Mahan quickly distinguished himself in combat. He continued to hone his skills, adding new martial maneuvers to his repertoire, and he studied the science of combat to the point he could often discern an opponent's weakest locations. During a 1995 combat with a VIPER mercenary team, Mahan one-punched the team's leader and his reputation -- always good in Seattle -- went national.

The Golden Avenger was impressed with what he had heard and under pressure to add more assault agents to his staff in Washington, flew out to Seattle to meet with Mahan. The agent was on his way out to hike Mt. Ranier and invited the Avenger to accompany him; the Avenger accepted and by the time they returned, Mahan had a new job. The next month, he and his wife moved to Washington, DC.

Though Mahan's public identity thrived, his private life did not. His relationship with his wife dissolved soon after their move to Washington, and they divorced in 1996.

Combat/Tactics
Mahan will first attempt to find weakness on his opponent, and will then legsweep, giving agents at range a better chance of hitting them. Mahan does not like to use lethal force and objects to agents who do.

Personality
Agent Mahan gets along well with most people, but his true love is spending time in the outdoors. He misses the mountains of the west, but has come to appreciate the diversity of living on the east coast. He has not remarried.

Appearance
Mahan is 5'9, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was an excellent candidate for Cyberline and because of this, his build was not greatly altered by treatment. Despite his high STR, he has a thin build.
