About Skuld

Skuld is a late appearing member of the _OMG_ cast, arriving sometime after Urd. Her arrival is an attempt to get Belldandy to return home, since Skuld is more than a little lonely, debugging the Yggdrasil metaprogram all by herself. After failing to due that Skuld decides to stick around anyway, since she'd rather stay with Belldandy.

Description

Skuld is the youngest of the three goddess sisters, being only 12 years old. As such, she is rather short, standing only 5' tall. Her hair is black and falls well past her waist, ending somewhere near her knees. She goddess markings are three 'O' shapes, one under each eye on one placed in the center of her forehead.

Skuld dresses in a red and white outfit consisting of a white, blousy sleeved white coat, belted at the waist. The coat comes to mid-thigh in the front and falls to her ankles in the back. Under this she wears a short skirt, low, white, boots and red gloves. She also carries a long-handled hammer that looks to be almost as long as she is tall.

Powers

As an aspect of the future, Skuld doesn't seem to have any magic powers per say. What she does have, though, is an inventive ability that almost defies description. She seems to be a scientific genius, capable of building just about *anything* out of the most mundane parts. Sample gadgets have included: explosives, a neutrino detector, glasses that allow her to see invisible 'computer bugs', as well as an assortment of gadgets that seemed to be interesting applications of Aid and Dispel.

Skuld's Debugging Hammer is just that, a long-handled mallet used to squash 'bugs'. Bugs are small, furry, eight legged rabbit-looking critters that infest the Yggdrasil Celestial Computer System and cause all sorts of problems with the operating system. The bugs can also manifest elsewhere, especially near places of power (such as the goddess sister's Earth home) often with rather adverse effects to the surrounding area.

Skuld's teleport power only works through hot water, this included bath water all the way down to tea cups.

As mentioned before, Skuld is a mechanical engineering genius. She seems capable of building anything out of the most limited of resources She is quite capable of redesigning even complex engineering blueprints on-the-fly.

Disadvantages

Skuld is rather protective of Belldandy, and is quite suspicious of Keiichi's intentions regarding her. She also doesn't get along very well with her oldest sister, Urd. Her opinions regarding the two can best be summed up as follows: "Because, dear sister Urd, I can't stand your arrogant, selfish, violent, pushy, impulsive and stupid behavior! And, because, unlike you, Belldandy is honest, unselfish, gentle, and pure!! That's why!!" This statement also does a good job of describing Belldandy and Urd's personalities as well.

Being the inventor that she is, Skuld loves all things technical, but hates inefficiencies and flawed creations (or, as she put in _OMG_ OVA #3 "Ahh this sucks! I can't leave such an ugly blueprint as it is!" After spending 30 seconds refiguring the calculations she states: "Such lovely equations!") Naturally, she thinks anything she builds is the greatest thing since sliced bread (her quote: "Oh, what an elegant design -- and sooo efficient, my sweet Mister Bug-zapper!") Just imagine what would happen if she got her hands on a PC's suit of powered armor? (OTOH, don't it could be hazardous!)

Skuld is also extremely addicted to ice cream and is capable of consuming rather immense quantities of the stuff in a single sitting. She usually devours ice cream in such large quantities when working on difficult mathematical problems.
