Champions Write-Ups
"Just the FAQs"

Q: What happened to Jack Wilson / Deejay?

A: We don't know for sure, but his epitath says that he is dying, and his CU-Online Web site, which used to host these pages, has been taken off-line. George Ruban noticed the epitath on Deejay's site, and downloaded the pages; Shelley Chrystal Mactyre kindly volunteered to host the pages you are reading now. Here is the announcement we sent to everyone we could find on the authors list. If you know anything, please tell us.

We are gradually making these pages reflect the change, and otherwise slowly maintaining them - if you have more time than that, please volunteer! Other than that, the pages have been left as Deejay had them.

Q: Why aren't there any pictures of the heroes?

A: Mainly because the only pictures available are copyrighted.

Q: Your write-up of GenericMan was totally wrong!

A: Chances are, I didn't write it up. Check the credits at the end, and contact the author directly.

Q: Such-and-so's write-up of GenericMan was totally wrong, and he refuses to change it! What can I do?

A: Write your own interpretation of GenericMan, and submit it to me.

Q: I didn't give you permission to put my write-up on the web.

A: If I find a character sheet on an FTP site, a newsgroup, or a mailing list, and the author has given permission to redistribute it, the write-up is fair game as far as I'm concerned. Nevertheless, if it bothers you that I'm putting your material here, let me know and I'll remove it.

Q: Where can I get these characters in HeroMaker format?

A: Contact the authors. I am not archiving HeroMaker files for two reasons: (1) I don't have HeroMaker and so can't verify that submissions really are HeroMaker files; (2) I don't have information on the HeroMaker file format, so I can't automatically convert HeroMaker files to web pages or vice versa - i.e. I would prefer not to manage two copies of every character.

Note: HeroMaker is a Champions character generation utility for PC's. For more information, contact Hero Games.

Q: All the characters are totally messed up.

A: If you're using Lynx or Netscape, let me know what page(s) you had problems with. If you're using some other browser, try the pages with Netscape, and see if the problems perist.

Q: What program did you use to lay out these pages, and where can I get it?

A: My own programs, which aren't available. They're pretty specific to the kinds of pages I write and so wouldn't be of much use to anyone else.
